My name is A’naya Jones and I was born and raised in Detroit. I attended Jalen Rose Leadership Academy, where students are encouraged to pursue a higher education and grow personally. 

I’m pursuing a degree in criminal justice with a co-major in university of honors and a minor in journalism at Wayne State University. I plan to attend law school and work as an attorney.

I am a woman of service who is committed to building a brighter future for the neighborhood. I frequently engage in community service, leadership positions and mentoring so that I can advance my major objective, which is to help develop a better community by offering mentoring, support and leadership to my Detroit community.

I’ve improved my communication, critical thinking, willpower, marketing, coding, organizing, supportiveness, and self-control skills. I cultivate these traits through participating in a variety of initiatives that aid in the growth of these abilities.
